Challenge

The client needed to quickly scale on-site engineering support at a major chip fabrication site, to convert and upgrade complex etch tools. Due to limitations around longterm employee deployment, this required an outsourced services model with the ability to scale rapidly and maintain compliance with co-employment laws.

Solution

Kelly Digital Infrastructure (KDI) deployed a specialized team of Field Service Engineers (FSEs) under an SOW-based engagement, solely supporting work at their facility. Starting with 18 engineers, the engagement expanded via change order to support up to 28 engineers. This team provides conversions and upgrades on a leading semiconductor company etch tools and remains on-site as a long-term managed solution.
