Position Title: Specialized Wireless Engineer IV
Position Duties: Investigate new product introduction, deploy new WiFi software release packages with fellow engineers, and provide technical guidance for high priority defects identified in testing environments. Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to keep the road map aligned and on track. Conduct research on emerging wireless enterprise network solutions for potential product introduction. Certify Wi-Fi devices for compatibility across multiple vendors and customer networks. Troubleshoot faults and ensure interoperability between network hardware and customer networks. Design Wi-Fi network architecture to optimize internal processes and address customer requests. Develop software to optimize code compatibility and interoperability according to customer’s network functions and requirements. Continuously train on new Wi-Fi technologies that align with customer's network needs. Create user guides, MOPs, and high/low-level designs for end users. Collaborate with vendors to monitor improvement processes and identify potential new features. Work may be performed at various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.
Work Location: 300 S Wacker Drive Chicago, IL 60606
Work Hours: 8 AM to 5 PM
Minimum Qualifications: US Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering, plus five (5) years of progressively responsible post-baccalaureate experience as a wireless/network engineering professional.
Special Skill Requirements: Must have five (5) years of experience in each of the following skills: Ekahau, AirMagnet, Cisco Spectrum Analyzer, Chanalyzer, Wireshark, Visual Studio, Android Studio, Airtool, Postman, SoapUI, and Wireless Configuration Analyzer.
